LeeAnn H. and Maggie
Dear kind and loving people,
How does one thank someone for their best friend? You will never know how much it means to me that you helped save Maggie.
I am a widow and I work part time. To come home to someone who thinks I am the greatest thing alive and my heart is filled with joy and my lonely home is lonely no more and my lonely heart is lonely no more.
I have to use a C-Pap machine at night for sleep apnea and I look like Darth Vader. This dear animal gazes at me with absolute love in her eyes as if I am the most beautiful creature on earth, and my heart swells again. Doesn't everyone need someone to love them most? She is very careful not to wake me when I am sleeping, but twice she did; once barking in my face, and once nudging my face with her cold nose. My face mask had slipped off both times and I am convinced I had stopped breathing for a period of time.
If I laugh her tail thumps the floor. If I say "good morning" her tail thumps the bed. If I sing, she sings. Sometimes she is the only reason I get out of bed. One of her greatest joys is riding in the car and she is fascinated by everything we pass. She even swivels completely around to see out the back window and we look for doggies as we ride along. On Friday's she goes to work with me and people actually stop by the church just to see her.
Thank you so very much for donating the money to her operation. It must be wonderful to bring such joy to people. May God bless you. I will not forget you.
Love,
LeeAnn H.
