Pauline and Penny

I can't thank you enough for the kindness you have shown my grandmother Pauline and her dog Penny. Your help in funding Penny's ear surgery has eased so much stress out of my grandma's life and out of mine too!

My grandma is 83 years old and is living off of her social security income. My husband and I help her monthly with her rent so she is able to stay in an apartment that allows large animals. Her dog Penny is about 10 years old and weights a whopping 73 pounds!

Grandma and Penny moved here almost a year ago. Unfortunately, Penny appears to be allergic to many things in Washington State. The allergy shows up as a severe skin itchiness. To compound that situation, she got infested with fleas and became allergic to the flea bites. She scratches and shakes her head a lot, even thought the fleas are all gone. According to the veterinarians at Banfield Pet Hospital, the hematoma in her ear was a result of a blood vessel bursting due to the persistent trauma of her head shaking.

Grandma thought she would need to have Penny put to sleep because she couldn't afford the surgery to fix the hematoma. Thank you for coming to the rescue! You saved a wonderful dog and you saved my grandma from a broken heart at the same time. May God richly bless you for your kindness!
